Journey to Housing

St. Vincent de Paul’s Journey to Housing program seeks to solve the problem of homelessness in northwestern Wayne County communities. Will you help us? We provide long-term assistance to empower people living in poverty to take responsibility for their own future. We give them the support they need – and reason for hope!

The Families, while taking steps towards economic self-sufficiency, are provided with move-in costs, furniture, household goods, and a monthly rent subsidy by Journey to Housing until the family can pay for the rent themselves. Meanwhile, St. Vincent de Paul helps the family with budgeting, household management, parenting skills and more.

These are real families… our neighbors in need throughout north western Wayne County. Some have lost a home due to fire, or illness, or job loss, or other financial difficulties. They need our compassion and support.

Through the generosity of caring friends, like you, we’re helping provide them with a better future.
