#GivingTuesday is November 28th!

Founded in 2012, Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that takes place annually after Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It’s considered the launch of the giving season. This year Giving Tuesday is Tuesday, November 28.

How you can participate in Giving Tuesday:

  • Donate to help us help our neighbors in need!
  • Donate your unused car, truck, motorcycle, boat or RV! For more information on getting started, visit http://svdpdet.careasy.org/HOME.html
  • Donate clothing, shoes, households goods and furniture at any SVdP Thrift Store.
  • Take photos of yourselves helping SVdP and post on social media. For example, donate clothing at one of our 10 Thrift Store and Donation Centers and take a photo! Ask your employer to allow you to wear jeans to work for a donation to SVDP or host a bake sale and take photos. These photos are called “unselfies” the opposite of “selfies,” as you are doing “unselfish” work for SVdP! Take your picture, tag it #unselfie and #GivingTuesday. Upload to your Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. Don’t forget to add something to your posts to the effect of I’m proud to support @svdpdet on #GivingTuesday! Help me help others & donate now at svdpdetroit.org
  • After you give to support #GivingTuesday, share the giving spirit with your friends and followers by  downloading the “sticker” below and making it your profile picture on social media. Thanks for being part of this international day of giving back!

Thank you for your generous support of St. Vincent de Paul, today and throughout the year.  We couldn’t help our neighbors in need without you!
